Bioiberica has launched an extended version of its Nucleoforce product line for animal immune and intestinal health. The new range of functional ingredients, Nucleoforce Immunity, Nucleoforce Performance, and Nucleoforce High Flowability (HF), also have emerging evidence supporting their synergistic roles when combined with other bioactive compounds, the company noted.

Nucleotide compounds are building blocks of DNA and RNA. They are critical for cell replication, in areas such as immune and intestinal systems, during periods of rapid development or stress. Each nucleotide-rich concentrate is naturally obtained from yeast.

Each of the three new solutions is designed to support farmed fish and crustaceans, livestock, and pets, through periods of stress, rapid development, malnutrition, or nutritional challenges in which endogenous nucleotide synthesis is diminished.

Nucleoforce Immunity is formulated on immune health, while Nucleoforce Performance is formulated for enhanced production efficiency, and Nucleoforce HR is formulated for growth and development.

“Part of our company mission is to provide high-quality solutions attuned to the needs of our customers and their end-consumers. Our vision for Nucleoforce, evidenced by the new product launches, expresses this drive to deliver, giving feed and food manufacturers the tailored ingredients they need to help animals grow and thrive,” said Victor Beneito, director of animal nutrition.

In two new studies, which await publication, Bioiberica’s research and development team found that Nucleoforce supplementation was associated with growth improvements in pacific white shrimp. These benefits were even more pronounced when paired with bioactive compounds like seaweed meal and olive extract. These pairings appeared to improve the animals’ resistance to bacterial infection, increasing survival rates, the company reported.

“The potential unlocked by our team’s cutting-edge research is incredibly exciting,” said Xavier Garcia, business unit director for animal health and plant health. “Not only do these studies demonstrate the powerful immune- and development-supporting performance we expect from Nucleoforce, but for the first time, we can see how its effects can be further enhanced in the presence of additional bioactive compounds. Our research could open a new avenue for targeted animal health and nutrition products addressing key priorities like immunity, and help brands stand out in a crowded market. This is why we are in the process of planning further studies focused on more species.”
